SHELTER FROM THE COLD…

GLOWS is a coalition of agencies, churches, organizations and individuals working to provide safe shelter to our homeless friends during inclement weather. We currently open the shelter when the forecast is 32 degrees or less with a 20% chance of precipitation, or 28 degrees or less with no precipitation. We watch the National Weather Forecast, which is often different from the local forecast.

We provide cots, blankets, boxed/bagged meals, snacks and friendly faces. We also provide kennels and food for the dogs and cats which may come to the shelter with our friends.

We rely 100% on volunteers to make this happen. There are no paid personnel in our organization.
